ZLD Verification (Zero Liquid Discharge)

ZLD verification is an independent, on-site check of whether a facility really operates as a zero liquid discharge site, not only on paper, but every day, in every shift and in every season. PDCA International Ltd. checks the facility’s water balance, treatment systems, operating records, monitoring data and physical site conditions to confirm whether the facility’s ZLD claim is supported by evidence. Our verification shows brands, buyers, investors and other stakeholders whether the facility discharges no liquid effluent, or where it does not yet meet that claim.

PDCA runs Higg FEM verification, ZDHC InCheck verification, environmental inspections and wastewater-related assessments for the textile and manufacturing sector. Our verifiers understand dyeing, washing and finishing processes, ETPs and ZLD technology, so they know where weaknesses are usually hidden. We do not rely on documents alone. We cross-check meter readings, energy use, production data and physical site conditions. Our findings are objective and based on evidence, which gives brands and buyers results they can trust. Reports explain the findings, root causes and practical improvement actions. Every verification statement has a unique number and QR code that can be checked on our website. We operate in 18 countries, with experienced local verifiers who know regional regulations and industry practice. ZLD verification can be combined with Higg FEM, ZDHC InCheck, environmental inspection and wastewater testing coordination.

ZLD readiness or gap assessment is for facilities planning to install or upgrade a ZLD system, and it identifies technical and management gaps. A water balance study is a detailed study of water intake, use, recovery, losses and discharge across the facility. An ETP and ZLD performance assessment is a review of how well the system works, its capacity, efficiency and operating practice. A flow meter and monitoring system review is a check of meter installation, calibration and data reliability. A water recovery and reuse assessment is a review of recovered water quality and opportunities to reuse more.
